Welcome to the Family Selected Respite Program
The SC Respite Coalition (SCRC) has contracted with the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (SC DDSN) to provide an informative screening and training experience for you as the Household Employer. SCRC is providing an in depth training that explains your role as the Household Employer, provide a general overview of the Family Selected Respite Program and the requirements of the Respite Providers you choose to employ.
Training has been developed for two groups:
(1) Consumers and Household Employers
(2) Respite Care Providers (Hired by the Household Employer)
The Respite Provider module covers the required topics of:
Respite Caregiver Overview
Confidentiality and HIPPA
Abuse and Neglect
There are other optional modules available that you may find useful. We encourage that you take advantage of those to have a well rounded training background specific to Respite Care and Services.
